GLM's Remarkable Destinations division is based on the rapidly growing market for holidaying in the UK. With offices in Edinburgh and Manchester, we help to develop land and buildings in exceptional locations to realise value in the form of very upmarket and well managed holiday destinations. A key objective is to create sustainable businesses that generate economic activity around them. Our service starts with an appraisal. For suitable sites we put together a project proposal. This is tailored to the particular circumstances of the site and the needs and aspirations of the site owner. The basis of the proposal may be outright purchase, leasing, or JV partnering. In conjunction with our funding, branding, marketing and operations partners we drive projects through the various design, consultative and project management processes. Following handover, we maintain and, on a cyclical basis, upgrade the resulting developments.
Remarkable Buildings
GLM's Remarkable Buildings division helps the owners, managers or prospective purchasers of some of the country's finest buildings to conserve and care for them and, where appropriate, to upgrade and adapt them to new uses. We provide highly informed advice on old, unusual, large or problematical buildings in the form of detailed building survey reports with costed recommendations. We help clients in the design and management of projects with a combination of knowledge and experience combined with flair and imagination.
