Andy has a passion for buildings (particularly historic ones) and understands that for them to remain functional and in excellent working condition they require attention, cautious handling and precise execution.
Joining GLM in July as a Graduate Building Surveyor, Andy's goal is to become a leading expert in the care, conservation and adaptation of historic and remarkable buildings, providing clients with the benefit of his attention to detail and determination. A graduate from Edinburgh's Napier University, Andy is well equipped with the technical knowledge required for his role at GLM. His main duties at GLM range from contract administrator for a large and technically challenging castle refurbishment, project manager for the upgrading and repairing of country houses, dilapidations and measured surveys, as well as assisting with drawings for various jobs.
Andy is determined to support clients in the conservation of the diverse built heritage of the United Kingdom. In addition to his appetite for historical architecture, Andy is an eager car enthusiast (being the owner of a classic car) and a keen snowboarder. His ethos is to transfer his personal passions and values to the workplace and thus let his enthusiasm and diligent work ethic shine through in all his projects
