Matt had his first taste of construction as a young boy from his father's civil engineering company. This early exposure, combined with his natural artistic skills, forged the way for his true passion for architecture to develop and flourish. With 12 years industry experience, Matt brings a wealth of trade knowledge to GLM, consisting of but not limited to master planning, refurbishments, education, healthcare, commercial builds, large scale mixed use/residential projects, housing & domestic extensions. Some recent examples of these projects were The Calderwood Master Plan, Edinburgh Academy - Performing Arts and Linburn Health Centre.

Joining GLM in October as a Senior Architectural Technician, Matt is leading the team on the technical design development of the John O' Groats Apart Hotel and Residences. He will also in tandem take the role as Design Team Leader for the Wykeham project. As an expert in Autocad and drawing management, Matt brings a wealth of technical experience to the GLM team as it expands to meet the challenge of a growing portfolio of exciting architectural projects.

Matt's philosophy is that in order to deliver excellent architecture, design must be matched by excellent technical design. Clients and projects benefit from Matt's forthright approach, his enthusiasm and determination and his dedication to architecture and technology.
