Working with Neil as the architect on a project, the client will always feel empowered to create something excellent. This makes the process both rewarding and enjoyable.
He is a good listener and it does not take long after meeting him to realise that he is a thoughtful person of sound judgement and considerable knowledge, skill, and experience. He is very quick to grasp what the client is trying to achieve. His exceptional presentational skills quickly put the issues into perspective and he is full of creative ideas. Refusing to fudge detailed design problems he likes to tease them out during the design process and solve them inexpensively at that stage rather than expensively on site.
Neil combines a deep knowledge, love, and understanding of old buildings with a flair for contemporary architecture. After gaining a degree in architecture he went on to graduate from Edinburgh College of Art with an MSc in Architectural Conservation: a surprisingly rare but very useful combination.
One day he will build a cathedral...
