Peter Bagley

Senior Architectural Technician.

Peter Bagley started his career in private practice as a draughtsman and subsequently joined the government service where he developed his skills and knowledge in a very wide range of building projects managing a drawing department.

He is a meticulous individual and his practical, in-depth knowledge and understanding of building construction is a considerable asset to the office. These combine to make him a highly effective project co-ordinator, much appreciated by GLM's Client, such as Land Securities, Nationwide Building Society, various Hotel groups, schools and National Museums of Scotland.

Since 1994 has been employed in the role of Senior Architectural & Building Surveying Technician and Project Co-ordinator engaged on a extensive range of projects undertaking condition and measured surveys, the preparation of working drawings, specifications and design work, Planning Supervisor duties, defects analysis and reporting.

Peter has worked on innumerable building projects with GLM, including various commercial centres, involving planning and co-ordination of major programmes of external repairs, redecoration, reconfiguration and upgrades.

Prior to joining GLM, Peter worked with the Property Services Agency (and predecessor departments), 17 years as a Senior Architectural Assistant, with responsibilities as a Drawing Office Manager and later as a Project Planner and Contract Administrator.

Project experience included major office refurbishments, the design of specialist technical buildings for MOD, major refurbishment projects of married quarters, Sheriff Court refurbishments, designing Weather Stations, refurbishments of MOD mechanical centres, Dental centres, alterations to DHSS Buildings and support services to HM Coastguards.
