Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park Cottage Extension

GLM have just obtained planning permission to extend a delightful but run down cottage in the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. Despite the tight planning control in such a sensitive rural area, GLM argued that if the Local Authority want people to continue to live in the National Park through the 21st Century then the buildings must be capable of accomodating families with a 21 Century lifestyle. This particular Cottage currently has only 1 bedroom but by moving the sleeping accomodation to the new rear extension which it is proposed to build into the landscape, another well sized bedroom and study bedroom could be created. The existing cottage can therefore be opened up as a double height open plan living / dining / kitchen space.
