RICS Scotland Building Surveying Professional Group
Ian McKee has been appointed Chair of the Building Surveying Professional Group (BSPG) at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in Scotland (RICS). The two year appointment is the culmination of over 9 years of dedicated service to the professional group Board.
The BSPG Board is responsible for amongst many other things, identifying, writing and publishing relevant Guidance Notes, organising and supporting CPD Events, promoting the role of the Building Surveyor within the profession and externally to the public, school leavers and students.
The activities Ian is involved with and will be promoting during his period in the Chair include:
- Sustainability - member of the RICS Scotland cross Professional Group Working Party on Sustainability.
- Dilapidations - co-author of the forthcoming Scottish Dilapidations Guidance Note and member of the RICS Scotland Dilapidations Working Party
- RICS External Examiner at Edinburgh Napier University
- Member of the RICS Education Forum
