GLM to offer Design and Build services

People often ask "why is the process of getting a building built, refurbished or altered so complicated?" GLM has always sought to provide clients with building solutions that best suit their needs. We are finding that a turnkey approach that combines the services of the design consultants and those of the contractor has an increasing appeal. Working with Prime Property Ventures Ltd, GLM have undertaken a number of contractor led Design and Build projects. We are currently working on one that is a Consultant-led project. In the course of 2012 we will be formalising this arrangement into a JV which will provide Design and Build to residential projects including new houses and refurbishment and alteration projects. We will also be expanding it with other trusted contractors to deal with larger projects.

Borders-based Prime Property Ventures Ltd, come from a development background but the current recession has moved them away from speculative work to specialised "conventional" contracting. However, they bring to contracting the "can-do" attitudes of a developer always looking for solutions rather than problems. As such they have delighted customer after customer.

GLM will be pleased to discuss the procurement options for your project. Sometimes it will be appropriate to go down the conventional route of preparing a design and specifications and then getting quotations from a number of contractors.
