Highland Lodge

We are currently working on an exciting project in the Cairngorms National Park which will see the replacement of a very tired 1970s lodge with a substantial contemporary house. There is no excuse for any new house to have a heavy carbon footprint and this project will be no exception. By careful placement, orientation and design, this new house will use passive heating and ventilation. Any heat that is required will be provided by a wood pellet boiler and solar panels. Traditional and local materials will be used put together in an exciting and dynamic style and the house will be set into a sloping site minimising the visual impact on the immediate area and increasing its thermal performance.
