Borders Steading
Tender's are being sought to construct a high quality house set within a currently dilapidated steading near Kelso. Basing the layout on the existing footprint of one corner of the steading and using reclaimed stone, slate and other recycled materials wherever possible, the design fits into its stunning surroundings perfectly.
A significant feature of the building is a glazed wing which wraps round the South corner of the building to create a bright and spacious open-plan kitchen / dining / sitting room with wonderful views over the neighbouring fields.
The remaining sections of the steading are to be consolidated to form a walled garden and useful outbuildings.
