GLM Recruitment - Chartered Building Surveyor Needed
Do you have the ambition to match our vision? Are you the enthusiastic and experienced building surveyor we are looking for?
If so you will be a chartered building surveyor in search of a varied and interesting career in a building surveying/architectural practice who can handle pressure calmly and win the confidence of clients through consistent and reliable service delivery. You will be excited by interesting buildings and technically well grounded. You will also be experienced and capable of managing building projects and contractors.
An important part of your work will be to carry out in depth building condition surveys. This will sometimes involve some of the most remarkable buildings in the country. You should be able to advise on both historic and modern buildings and have an understanding of the needs of private and commercial clients. You must be able to demonstrate an ability to get into the technical nitty gritty and give clients clear readable reports that give them a really informed basis on which to make decisions.
Another key aspect of your work will be to work with our architects on remarkable building projects and for this we are looking for excellent project management, contract administration and cost management skills.
You will also contribute a strategic level of project management with our Remarkable Destination Planning division, working on the planning and management of projects for Leisure, Education and Mixed Use Development.
