Hawke and Hunter
GLM's previous work for Brown Taylor Management on the refurbishment of 99 Hanover Street bar restaurant, has led to commissions on the expansion of their Hawke + Hunter boutique hotel complex in the historic setting of Edinburgh's Picardy Place.
GLM produced license plans, a schedule of condition survey and have obtained Consents for The Green Room pool hall & cocktail bar and forthcoming nightclub. The hall is currently transformed into an alpine Christmas event 'Off Piste' for meals & parties.
Hawke + Hunter have now commissioned GLM to submit Planning applications to expand the hotel to 16 bedrooms. Steering a course through Planning means thoroughly understanding how the new system works including the complex listed building and change of use issues and developer tram contributions procedures.
GLM director Anne Johnstone's skills and experience as an architect who has specialised in commercial refurbishment work are very much in evidence on this project.
