"We can't believe we have such an amazing house"
"Based on a recommendation from a business acquaintance, we approached GLM with the demanding brief of bringing together our contemporary interior design taste in the setting of our Listed Victorian villa and within an extremely tight timescale. Our Project Architect David Johnson responded very quickly and it didn't take him long to come up with a design that was just what we wanted. GLM gave great advice on accelerating the consents applications and procurement strategy in order to get a contractor started as early as possible and in the end we moved in a year after giving him the brief.
The design phase was intensive but great fun and we met regularly to work through various aspects of the design and finishes. We even went down to London to the 100% Design exhibition.
Obtaining Planning and Listed Building Consent for our large extension wasn't straightforward, but we were impressed that GLM were willing to take on the planners and fight our corner.
Once the work started we appreciated David's regular presence on the building site. We felt he stayed on top of the contractor which helped keep pressure up and maintain momentum with progress.
The whole family is delighted with the finished project. We can't believe we have such an amazing house".
