GLM devise and organise repair projects ranging from relatively minor repairs to major programmes of building repair, such as re-roofing, stonework repairs and rot work. We have undertaken repairs to modern buildings like shopping centres and to ancient ones like castles and churches. Often this starts with a condition survey to establish what work needs to be done, to prioritise it and estimate the budget cost.
Repairs may be prioritised by factors such as Health and Safety, statutory or contractual compliance, protecting the investment value of an asset, maintaining business continuity and preventing the need for greater expenditure further down the line ("a stitch in time").
Repair technologies employed range from traditional (slate, lead, stone, lime and timber) to advanced (resin, steel, epoxy and a multitude of membranes and coating systems). |
